Express Hotels have carved a unique niche in offering hospitality, catering to the demanding Business Travel Segment, and have set new benchmarks in Service, Cuisine & Guest Relationships.

In early 1973, when Express was managing the logistic activities for Gujarat State Fertiliser Corporation at Vadodara, the promoter saw that there were numerous industrial projects coming up at Vadodara. To cater to all the people associated with these projects what was needed was a good business hotel.

The lack of a really good alternative and the boom happening in the business scenario encouraged the people at the helm of Express to invest in setting up a hotel in Vadodara in 1974.

Called Express Hotels, this hotel was the first government approved hotel in the state of Gujarat and set new benchmarks in hospitality, service and cuisines. The runaway success of this venture, plus the fact that demand was constantly on the upswing soon spawned one more hotel in 1986 at Alkapuri and took up the room capacity to 119 rooms. Continuing its successful foray into the hospitality industry, Express then broke new ground when in the year 1999, it set up a brand new Five Star Category hotel, Hotel Express Residency, in Jamnagar with a capacity of 117 rooms.

Today, all these hotels are landmarks and the first choice of the discerning business traveler.
